I recall when Obama referenced the US Post Office competing with Fed Ex last year. I discussed it here and here.

Now I read where New Zealand’s Postal Service not only shows a profit, but very large profit.  From Tom Morgan, If they can do it, why can’t we?

Our Postal Service announced in early August it is hemorrhaging at the rate of $14 billion this year.

The New Zealand system:

will make a profit this year equivalent to $3.7 billion. That is in U.S. dollars.
