“Not Evil Just Wrong” The True Cost of Global Warming Hysteria. Film Trailer

August 15th, 2009 4 Comments

I’ve been whining about Rachael Carson for years. She is often credited with starting the “Environmental Movement.” I credit her with causing the deaths of millions (and I mean millions) of people in Africa from malaria by convincing the (so called) civilized world that DDT causes cancer. Now decades later, people have begun reusing DDT and saving lives.

Below is a trailer of a  feature length documentary which shows how extreme environmentalism is damaging the lives of vulnerable people from the ban on DDT to the campaigns on Global Warming.

So, it is your contention that Rachel Carson persuaded Idi Amin to not use DDT in Uganda because he was worried about effects on wildlife?

It is your contention that Rachel Carson’s indictment of pesticide effects on wildlife in the U.S. persuaded mosquitoes in Africa to become immune to it?

You claim that Rachel Carson’s book persuaded malaria fighters across Asia and Africa to stop using DDT to save the peregrine falcon in Connecticut?

You claim that the U.S. ban on DDT use on crops, in 1972, caused Africa to stop using DDT in 1965?

You claim that the U.S. ban on putting DDT on cotton in Texas and Arkansas, caused an increase of malaria in Africa?

All of these things would have to be true for your claim to be accurate, that Rachel Carson was responsible for the deaths of people due to malaria.

Did you ever read Silent Spring? What was it Carson advocated there that caused all these calamities?

  • tomllewis says:

Thanks for your opinion Ed. No, I’ve never read Silent Spring. I have been reading about her in WSJ editorials for many many years.

It IS my contention that well meaning people, mostly Europeans & Americans, have tragically harmed millions of third world people by believeing that the environmental sky is falling and imposing restrictions on their economy, all in the name of saving humanity.

Chances are pretty good you & I won’t ever agree on this issue.

  • Ed Darrell says:

No, we won’t agree, at least so long as Carson’s critics refuse to use maps and calendars. They may be rather rude scientific devices, but they work well in figuring out truth on some claims.

Are you affiliated with Lyndon Larouche?

  • tomllewis says:

Since Larouche ran for Prez as a U.S. Labor Party candidate & seven times as a candidate for the Democratic Party nomination, that wouldn’t be my kind of guy.

I agree more with Newt than probably any other politician.
